Rear Window May Detach

McLaren Automotive Incorporated (McClaren) is recalling certain 2021 765LT Coupe vehicles. The rear cabin window may have insufficient adhesive bonding, which can allow the window to detach from the support frame.

Consequence Summary:

A rear window that detaches from the vehicle can create a road hazard for other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action:

Dealers will install bespoke fasteners into each corner of the polycarbonate panel, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk were mailed on December 4, 2024. Owners will receive a second notice when remedy parts become available, anticipated late September 2025. Owners may contact McClaren customer service at 1-646-429-8916. Hood May Open Unexpectedly

McLaren Automotive Incorporated (McLaren) is recalling certain 2020-2023 McLaren GT vehicles. The manual release cable of the hood latch may have excessive tension that can cause the latch to open, resulting in the hood opening unexpectedly.

A hood that opens unexpectedly while driving can obstruct the driver's view, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action:
