According to data from the CDC, in 2015, 29% of old adults in Florida were Obese, with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or more.

Gender: The percentage of old adults who were obese was the following per gender: Male (30%), and Female (28%).

Race and Ethnicity: The percentage of old adults who were obese included the following per race and ethnicity: Non-Hispanic Black or African American (39.5%), Hispanic or Latino (28.7%), and Non-Hispanic White (27.7%).
