According to data from the CDC, the overall number of fatal drug overdose deaths in Iowa for all drugs was 400, and the age adjusted overdose death rate per 100,000 persons was 13.2. The following types of drugs were among the drugs that were involved with high number of overdose deaths: Any Opioids (239), Any stimulants (211), Illegally-made Fentanyls (199), and Methamphetamine (177).
