Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2023, among all Maine counties, Androscoggin County had the highest percentage of its population who identified their ethnicity as Non-Hispanic Black or African American (5.72%), followed by Cumberland County (3.87%), and York County (1.39%).
