Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2012, among all Michigan counties, Mackinac County had the highest percentage of its population who identified their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone (17.38%), followed by Chippewa County (15.53%), and Baraga County (13.83%).
