According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2024, the net migration for Kentucky was 38,724. Jefferson County had the highest net migration (9,201) followed by Fayette County (3,784), and Warren County (3,283). On the other hand, Christian County had the lowest net migration (-625), followed by Pike County (-189), and Martin County (-167).
Net migration for a county refers to the difference between the number of migrants, both domestic and international, moving to the county and those leaving the county. Or to put it simply, the net migration for a given county is the inbound migration minus the outbound migration for that county.
