Rhode Island Hispanic or Latino Population By County in 2023

Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2023, there were 197,404 hispanics or latinos (of all racial backgrounds) in Rhode Island and they represented 18.01% of the total population of Rhode Island in 2023.

Providence County had the highest number of hispanics or latinos (171,700), followed by Kent County (12,764), and Newport County (5,626). On the other hand, Bristol County had the lowest number of hispanics or latinos (2,200), followed by Washington County (5,114), and Newport County (5,626).

When it comes to the ratio of hispanic to non-hispanic population, Providence County had the highest percentage (25.99%), followed by Kent County (7.45%), and Newport County (6.71%).
