Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2011, there were 447,156 hispanics or latinos (of all racial backgrounds) in Michigan and they represented 4.52% of the total population of Michigan in 2011.
Wayne County had the highest number of hispanics or latinos (95,992), followed by Kent County (59,676), and Oakland County (43,001). On the other hand, Keweenaw County had the lowest number of hispanics or latinos (17), followed by Ontonagon County (67), and Schoolcraft County (73).
When it comes to the ratio of hispanic to non-hispanic population, Oceana County had the highest percentage (14%), followed by Van Buren County (10.44%), and Kent County (9.81%).
