Maine Hispanic or Latino Population By County in 2012

Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2012, there were 18,244 hispanics or latinos (of all racial backgrounds) in Maine and they represented 1.37% of the total population of Maine in 2012.

Cumberland County had the highest number of hispanics or latinos (5,184), followed by York County (2,803), and Penobscot County (1,811). On the other hand, Piscataquis County had the lowest number of hispanics or latinos (181), followed by Lincoln County (320), and Franklin County (333).

When it comes to the ratio of hispanic to non-hispanic population, Cumberland County had the highest percentage (1.83%), followed by Washington County (1.61%), and Androscoggin County (1.58%).
