Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2022, there were 108,872 people that identified as Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone in Alaska and they represented 14.85% of the total population of Alaska in 2022. Anchorage Borough had the highest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone population (24,816), followed by Bethel Borough (15,371), and Kusilvak Borough (7,651). On the other hand, Skagway Borough had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone (56), followed by Denali Borough (106), and Haines Borough (197).
