Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2012, the South Carolina Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone female population was 691,079; and represented 28.49% of the total South Carolina female population in 2012.

Richland County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone female population (96,183), followed by Charleston County (57,135), and Greenville County (44,240).

On the other hand, McCormick County had the lowest Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone female population (2,175), followed by Saluda County (2,660), and Oconee County (2,858).
