According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2016, the number of deaths for South Dakota was 7,750. Minnehaha had the highest number of deaths (1,343), followed by Pennington (932), and Brown (360). On the other hand, Harding had the lowest number of deaths (5), followed by Sully (11), and Jones (12).
