According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2012, the number of deaths for New Mexico was 16,466. Bernalillo had the highest number of deaths (4,968), followed by Doña Ana (1,494), and Santa Fe (1,054). On the other hand, Harding had the lowest number of deaths (7), followed by De Baca (31), and Guadalupe (34).
