According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2023, the death rate for California was 7.75. Alpine had the highest death rate (15.69), followed by Lake (14.81), and Tuolumne (14.64). On the other hand, Mono had the lowest death rate (4.8), followed by Santa Clara (5.91), and Alameda (6.57).
