Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2011, the Black or African American Alone female population in Tennessee was 571,649 and represented 17.42% of the total Tennessee female population (3,281,016).

Among Tennessee counties, Shelby County had the highest Black or African American Alone female population (265,100), followed by Davidson County (96,034), and Hamilton County (37,121).
