Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2012, the Black or African American Alone female population in Illinois was 1,010,383 and represented 15.40% of the total Illinois female population (6,562,818).

Among Illinois counties, Cook County had the highest Black or African American Alone female population (710,194), followed by St. Clair County (44,161), and Will County (40,233).
