Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2010, the Black or African American Alone population in New Hampshire was 16,517 and represented 1.25% of the total New Hampshire population (1,316,807).

Among New Hampshire counties, Hillsborough County had the highest number of people who identified as Black or African American Alone (9,364), followed by Rockingham County (2,138), and Merrimack County (1,597). Carroll County had the lowest (148).
