Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2015, the Black or African American Alone male population in Tennessee was 533,411 and represented 16.58% of the total Tennessee male population (3,216,957).

Among Tennessee counties, Shelby County had the highest Black or African American Alone male population (233,484), followed by Davidson County (88,170), and Hamilton County (32,210).
