Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2012, the Black or African American Alone male population in Ohio was 688,595 and represented 12.19% of the total Ohio male population (5,646,833).

Among Ohio counties, Cuyahoga County had the highest Black or African American Alone male population (174,095), followed by Franklin County (124,592), and Hamilton County (95,770).
