Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2011, the Black or African American Alone male population in Minnesota was 148,762 and represented 5.60% of the total Minnesota male population (2,654,473).

Among Minnesota counties, Hennepin County had the highest Black or African American Alone male population (71,096), followed by Ramsey County (28,573), and Dakota County (10,270).
