Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2016, the Black or African American Alone population in Florida was 3,483,851 and represented 16.89% of the total Florida population (20,627,237).

Among Florida counties, Broward County had the highest number of people who identified as Black or African American Alone (566,503), followed by Miami-Dade County (499,466), and Orange County (302,118). Gilchrist County had the lowest (1,000).
