Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2023, the population of Connecticut was 3,643,023. Among all Connecticut counties, Capitol Planning Region had the highest population (983,326), followed by Western Connecticut Planning Region (630,201), and South Central Connecticut Planning Region (572,919). Northeastern Connecticut Planning Region was the least populated county (96,834).
