Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2012, the US Non-Hispanic Black or African American Alone citizen voting-age population was 26,273,655 and represented 12.21% of the total US citizen voting-age population.

Among all US states and DC, Georgia had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen voting-age population (2.04M), followed by Texas (2.03M), and New York (1.84M).

In terms of percentages, District of Columbia had the highest percentage of its citizen voting-age population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (50.59%), followed by Mississippi (35.34%), and Louisiana (30.64%).
