United States Hate Crime Incidents By Bias Type in 1992
According to the FBI UCR data, in 1992, there were 6,662 hate crime incidents in the US. Anti-Black or African American bias was the highest motivation for hate crime incidents (2,312), which was 34.70% of the number of incidents. Anti-White bias was the second highest motivation for hate crime incidents (1,350), which was 20.26% of the number of incidents. And Anti-Jewish bias was the third highest motivation for hate crime incidents (1,020), which was 15.31% of the number of incidents.

NB: Hate Crimes are criminal offenses that were motivated, in whole or in part, by the offender's bias against the victim's race/ethnicity/ancestry, gender, gender identity, religion, disability, or sexual orientation, and were committed against persons, property, or society. A hate crime incident can be motivated by one or more biases.
