Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, 340,541 out of 3,342,811 Los Angeles County, CA households received Food Stamps or SNAP in the last 12 months (i.e. 10.19% of Los Angeles County households).

By Race: As a percentage of the total number of households that received SNAP or Food Stamps, the White Alone racial group constituted 36.07%; the Some Other Race Alone racial group constituted 26.28%, and the Black Alone racial group constituted 16.44%.

By Ethnicity: As a percentage of the total number of households that received Food Stamps or SNAP, the Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group constituted 17.62%, and the Hispanic or Latino of All Races ethnicity group constituted 54.39%.
