Florida Science Proficiency for All Grades Students By Race and Ethnicity and Other Student Characteristics for the 2021-2022 School Year
Based on data from the US Department of Education, for the 2021-2022 school year, 51.8% of Florida All Grades students were proficient in Science, based on state-wide assessment.
By Race and Ethnicity: The following were the percentages of the following groups of students that were proficient in science: Asian (77.8%), Asian or Pacific Islander (76.4%), and Non-Hispanic White (64.6%). See chart and table below, for the number of students and percentage that are proficient for the different races and ethnicities.
Other Student Characteristics: The following were the percentages of students with the following characteristics, that were proficient in science: Military Connected (67.8%), Economically Disadvantaged (41.3%), and Foster Care Students (33%). See chart and table below, for the number of students and the percentage proficient in science for the different student characteristics.
