ON CERTAIN MOTORCYCLES AND SCOOTERS, THE REAR BRAKE SHOE MATERIAL COULD SEPARATE DUE TO IMPROPER ADHESIVE CURING.

Consequence Summary:
IF SUCH SEPARATION OCCURS DURING OPERATION, BRAKING ABILITY WITH THE REAR WHEEL WILL BE REDUCED OR LOST, WHICH COULD CAUSE A CRASH.
Corrective Action:
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE REAR BRAKE SHOES. THE RECALL BEGAN ON OCTOBER 8, 2004. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT YAMAHA AT 1-800-889-2624.
