Child Seat Base/StrongArm Knob/Detaches or Spins

Orbit Baby, Inc. (Orbit) is recalling certain G2 Car Seat Bases, Model No. ORB822000, manufactured from March 20, 2013, through July 20, 2013, with batch numbers A0840, A0860, or A0880. The StrongArm Knob component of the Orbit Baby G2 Car Seat Base intended to secure the seat's base, may become detached or spin.

Consequence Summary:
If the seat base is not properly secured, a child may be at an increased risk of injury in the event of a crash.
Corrective Action:
Registered owners will be notified and Orbit will provide a free remedy kit along with repair instructions to them or any owner that notifies Orbit of the need for a kit. The recall began on November 22, 2013. Owners may contact Orbit Baby Customer Service at 1-877-672-2229.
