Low beam Bulbs May Not Illuminate with High Beams

Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain 2020 Mountain Aire motorhomes built on a Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) chassis. The low beam bulbs may not remain illuminated when the high beam bulbs are activated.

Corrective Action:

The rear mounted Power Distribution Module (PDM) may have been damaged during manufacturing, possibly resulting in the rear marker lights, brake lights, or turn signals not functioning.

The brake relay valve may have an air flow restriction due to a partially blocked orifice, which may lead to extended stopping distance. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 121, "Air Brake Systems."
