ADJUSTING SPRINGS OF THE BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY DETERIORATE IN SERVICE DUE TO UNSATISFACTORY MATERIAL AND MAY REACH THE FAILURE POINT. DETERIORATION IS ACCELERATED BY CONTACT WITH SALT WATER.
