According to data from the CDC, in 2005, among all Michigan counties, Lake had the highest estimated birth rate for Teens in the 15–19 years age group (expressed per 1,000 females aged 15–19) (64.9), followed by St. Joseph (53.8), and Calhoun (51.3).
