According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2019, the net domestic migration for South Dakota was 1,160. Lincoln County had the highest net domestic migration (1,782) followed by Pennington County (1,439), and Minnehaha County (528). On the other hand, Brown County had the lowest net domestic migration (-523), followed by Brookings County (-332), and Lake County (-322).
