Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2011, there were 4,828,435 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in Tennessee and they represented 75.44% of the total population of Tennessee in 2011. Knox County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (366,062), followed by Davidson County (364,638), and Shelby County (356,914). On the other hand, Pickett County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone (4,990), followed by Lake County (5,332), and Van Buren County (5,398).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone, Scott County had the highest percentage (97.92%), followed by Hancock County (97.67%), and Pickett County (97.37%).
