Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2023, there were 6,573,391 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in North Carolina and they represented 60.67% of the total population of North Carolina in 2023. Wake County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (679,895), followed by Mecklenburg County (511,216), and Guilford County (254,935). On the other hand, Tyrrell County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone (1,869), followed by Hyde County (2,796), and Washington County (4,869).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone, Madison County had the highest percentage (92.24%), followed by Clay County (91.47%), and Yancey County (91.36%).
