Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2022, there were 6,528,842 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in North Carolina and they represented 61.04% of the total population of North Carolina in 2022. Wake County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (674,995), followed by Mecklenburg County (505,580), and Guilford County (256,086). On the other hand, Tyrrell County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone (1,883), followed by Hyde County (2,839), and Washington County (4,891).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone, Madison County had the highest percentage (92.43%), followed by Clay County (91.63%), and Yancey County (91.6%).
