Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2023, there were 13,361,684 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in California and they represented 34.29% of the total population of California in 2023. Los Angeles County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (2,442,113), followed by San Diego County (1,410,817), and Orange County (1,172,840). On the other hand, Alpine County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone (704), followed by Sierra County (2,625), and Modoc County (6,385).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone, Nevada County had the highest percentage (82.96%), followed by Sierra County (82.03%), and Plumas County (81.92%).
