Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2023, there were 1,403,021 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Pennsylvania and they represented 10.82% of the total population of Pennsylvania in 2023. Philadelphia County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (612,359), followed by Allegheny County (160,937), and Delaware County (131,760). On the other hand, Cameron County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (32), followed by Potter County (87), and Sullivan County (117).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone, Philadelphia County had the highest percentage (39.49%), followed by Forest County (23.35%), and Delaware County (22.85%).
