Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2011, there were 1,344,870 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Pennsylvania and they represented 10.55% of the total population of Pennsylvania in 2011. Philadelphia County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (650,430), followed by Allegheny County (161,210), and Delaware County (110,247). On the other hand, Cameron County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (14), followed by Potter County (63), and Elk County (103).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone, Philadelphia County had the highest percentage (42.22%), followed by Delaware County (19.71%), and Forest County (18.43%).
