Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2013, there were 300,048 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Minnesota and they represented 5.54% of the total population of Minnesota in 2013. Hennepin County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (146,642), followed by Ramsey County (58,891), and Dakota County (21,175). On the other hand, Lincoln County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (9), followed by Lake of the Woods County (11), and Mahnomen County (12).
