Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2020, there were 375,267 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Connecticut and they represented 10.49% of the total population of Connecticut in 2020. Capitol Planning Region had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (116,015), followed by South Central Connecticut Planning Region (75,219), and Western Connecticut Planning Region (67,445).
