Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2019, there were 24,008 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Alaska and they represented 3.27% of the total population of Alaska in 2019. Anchorage Borough had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (15,243), followed by Fairbanks North Star Borough (4,727), and Matanuska-Susitna Borough (1,275). On the other hand, Bristol Bay Borough had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (5), followed by Yakutat City and Borough (12), and Kusilvak Borough (12).
