Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2019, there were 116,299 people that identified as Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone in North Carolina and they represented 1.11% of the total population of North Carolina in 2019. Robeson County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone population (52,324), followed by Cumberland County (4,881), and Hoke County (4,422). On the other hand, Tyrrell County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone (10), followed by Hyde County (11), and Washington County (26).
