Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2022, there were 59,605 people that identified as Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone in Minnesota and they represented 1.04% of the total population of Minnesota in 2022. Beltrami County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone population (9,829), followed by Hennepin County (8,202), and St. Louis County (4,348). On the other hand, Kittson County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone (14), followed by Lac qui Parle County (16), and Murray County (22).
