Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2017, there were 63,536 people that identified as Hispanic Black or African American alone in Connecticut and they represented 1.78% of the total population of Connecticut in 2017. Hartford County had the highest number of Hispanic Black or African American alone population (21,684), followed by New Haven County (18,134), and Fairfield County (16,098). On the other hand, Tolland County had the lowest number of Hispanic Black or African American alone (658), followed by Litchfield County (1,049), and Middlesex County (1,072).
