According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, among Mercer, WV voting-age population of 47,634 people, 89.56% of them (42,659 people) identified their race as White Alone, 5.91% of them (2,813 people) identified their race as Black or African American Alone, and 3.36% of them (1,600 people) identified their race as Two Or More Races.
