According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, among Russell, AL voting-age population of 44,681 people, 49.51% of them (22,120 people) identified their race as White Alone, 43.03% of them (19,225 people) identified their race as Black or African American Alone, and 4.33% of them (1,933 people) identified their race as Two Or More Races.
