Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2023, the Black or African American Alone population in Colorado was 282,708 and represented 4.81% of the total Colorado population (5,877,610).

Among Colorado counties, Arapahoe County had the highest number of people who identified as Black or African American Alone (78,919), followed by Denver County (71,793), and El Paso County (51,874). San Juan County had the lowest (2).
