According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2013, the number of births for California was 499,632. Los Angeles had the highest number of births (130,664), followed by San Diego (43,743), and Orange (37,619) On the other hand, Alpine had the lowest number of births (7), followed by Sierra (21), and Modoc (81).
