United States Hate Crime Offenses By Crime Type in 2011
According to the FBI UCR data, in 2011, there were 7,861 Hate Crime Offenses in the US. Destruction/Damage/Vandalism of Property was the highest type of hate crime committed (2,422), and constituted 30.81% of the total number of offenses. The second highest hate crime offense committed was Intimidation (2,161), constituting 27.49% of the total. The third highest hate crime offense commited was Simple Assault (1,643), constituting 20.90% of the total.
