United States Hate Crime Offenses By Crime Type in 1995
According to the FBI UCR data, in 1995, there were 10,432 Hate Crime Offenses in the US. Intimidation was the highest type of hate crime committed (4,116), and constituted 39.46% of the total number of offenses. The second highest hate crime offense committed was Destruction/Damage/Vandalism of Property (2,587), constituting 24.80% of the total. The third highest hate crime offense commited was Simple Assault (1,860), constituting 17.83% of the total.
